Hot stage microscope
Introduction
Hot Stage Microscopy is a technique in which the optical property of the sample is monitored against time or temperature, while the temperature of the sample, in a specified atmosphere, is programmed.
At Kingston we have a low temperature system that is used for organics such as pharmaceuticals and liquid crystals and a high temperature system used by geologists to study the formation of rocks
