Xray Diffraction (XRD)
Introduction
X-ray Diffraction (XRD) is a non-destructive technique used in the identification and characterisation of crystalline and partly crystalline materials. A series of diffraction peaks produced by an x-ray beam penetrating the sample, will allow identification of the crystalline phases, crystal orientations, grain size and other structural properties.
