 The job study should analyse all of the main areas below. Click on each area for prompt points, intended to alert you to features which may be important for you to address, if they are relevant to your job study.

 
The analysis of the occupation

  • What type of training is offered (if any!)
  • Is it on-the-job (informal or formally structured), in-house courses, or are opportunities available for sponsorship to external courses and training events?
  • Is training necessary or desirable for promotion?
  • Does it lead to professional qualifications/membership?
  • Is there a clear promotion path?
  • Looking back at the work values you prioritised, and your Learning Styles and Preferences, how congruent are they with the opportunities offered?
