Companies
place great store on personality types and often use them as part of the
selection process. Some employers like use Psychometric Tests such as
MBTI and 16 PF as part of staff training
and development to enhance personal effectiveness and team building.
Teachers use these methods to understand different learning styles,
counsellors for self awareness and relationship building. The Careers
Service sometimes offers students the chance to try out MBTI as part
of its central programme of events. We strongly recommend you take the
opportunity to do this personality measure for free while at university,
though you do not need to do it to complete the assignment. (See the
