The best source of information on professional bodies, trade unions and the journals they produce is The Directory of British Associations (a copy of which is in the CAS library). This lists associations according to their occupational field, e.g. Advertising Association, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, etc. They often have regional representatives who give advice to potential or new entrants.
There are sites maintained by Professional Associations, particular employers and Trade Unions which give more detailed information about specific careers and courses. |
