Finding your Profile
The following Frequently Asked Questions will help you consider all your options and spot the benefits of researching them, no matter what your starting point is now:
  1. I know exactly which job I would like to enter. Why do I need to research more broadly and consider alternatives?
  2. What options are possible with my degree and my profile?
  3. What do graduates actually go into?

      Take a look at Kingston University's 'First Destination Statistics' - data which is collected annually. You will find figures for 2002 here.

      Remember to use 'Back' when you want to return to Finding the Fit.

      Compare your findings so far with these figures. Details of employment entered following your particular degree can generate career ideas for you to explore further. Are any of the occupational areas entered of interest to you?

      However, don't feel your choice is restricted to the careers entered by previous graduates from your discipline: remember, for over 50% of graduate opportunities, degree subject is not important.

      What Do Graduates Do? is updated every year and presents a national picture (6 months after graduation) of the fields entered by leavers from broad degree/HND course groupings.
