The introduction

This should set the scene for the main body of the report. Explain your aims briefly: tell us what job/occupation you have chosen to investigate, and why. Describe your research methods and resources concisely, set the parameters of the research and identify any problems or limitations in the scope of the report.

The main body

This should present findings, evidence and conclusions drawn from your research, linked with your self assessment. This should be divided into appropriate sections with sub headings. As the length is restricted to 700 words, you should concisely present only relevant content here - do not include transcripts of interviews or lengthy quotes from employer brochures, for example. All supporting material can be attached as appendices but be selective in what you decide to include.

The job study should analyse all of the main areas detailed on the next page.
