Frequently Asked Questions
Am I eligible to attend the presentation ceremony?
You will be eligible to attend the Faculty of Science Presentation Ceremony if you meet all the following criteria:
- You successfully complete the award you are registered for
- You complete and return your invitation reply card before Monday 14 December 2009.
- You clear all outstanding debt to the University
*Please note we cannot guarantee that we will be able to satisfy your request for guest tickets if we receive your reply card after Monday 14 December 2009.
What happens if I cannot attend the ceremony?
If you are unable to attend the ceremony, you must still return the reply card stating that you will not be attending. Your degree will then be conferred ‘in absentia’. Your name will appear in the programme but will not be read out during the ceremony. Your certificate and a copy of the graduation programme will be posted to your home address after the ceremony.
How many tickets can I have?
You are entitled to two guest tickets, plus a graduand ticket for yourself. A charge of £22 is made in respect of each guest you bring; there is no charge for your own ticket.
Extra tickets
We are not able to say until after 21 December as to whether extra guest tickets will be available. We shall be glad to put your name on a waiting list for a maximum of two additional guest tickets should these be available. Please annotate your reply card accordingly.

If you have not received your tickets by 4 January 2010 please contact Linda Wakefield on 020 8417 2426 (direct line).
