Booking & Tickets
General Information
A charge of £22 is made in respect of each guest you bring but there is no charge for your own ticket. Unlike many of the older universities, we do not have a suitable hall to host our presentation ceremonies. The policy of Kingston University is that our ceremonies are self-financing as the alternative of using funds allocated for teaching purposes is considered unacceptable.
As we do not wish to charge our graduates and diplomates to attend, we have to charge guests for seats. We wish to assure you that we are aware of the expense to families in attending the ceremony and constantly strive to keep the costs under control and the guest fee to a minimum.
When we have received your acceptance, you will be sent an information pack and your guests’ admission tickets. Your own admission ticket is given to you on the morning of the ceremony when we know exactly where you will be sitting. We will allocate guest seats as we receive replies so there is an advantage to replying early, particularly if we have a heavy demand for guest tickets.
The allocation of seats is two per graduand/diplomate
When you receive your award you will be announced by one forename and your family name. If your name does not follow the order of first name followed by family name please let us know when you return your reply card and advise the correct version according to your national custom, but one that is as short a version as possible.
